 Responsibilities

As a Delivery Driver, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Loading customer freight on the delivery truck or van.
  • Inspecting vehicle for mechanical or safety issues.
  • Delivering freight according to dispatch and customer instructions.
  • Ensuring deliveries are made timely and accurately and in manner that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Meeting delivery schedule every day.
  • Maintain delivery documentation as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be 23 years or older.
  • Forklift and general freight handling knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Strong team player that thrives in a busy environment.

Dispatcher- Indianapolis, IN

Team Worldwide-IND in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an experienced Dispatcher in the Freight Forwarding/3PL industry. The ideal candidate will be well versed in cartage freight operations, customer service and communications, and carrier capacity operations.

Responsibilities

As a Dispatcher, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Prioritize, schedule and dispatch freight for pick-up, delivery and recoveries via company drivers and cartage agents.
  • Interact with Branch offices, customers and cartage agents to rate and quote shipments.
  • Communicate with local company drivers and outside cartage agents as needed to ensure shipment handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations.
  • Work alongside operations team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and the ability to drive Key Performance indicators
  • Monitor freight movement using various internal and external applications.
  • Ensure drivers are following policies as it relates to OS&D reports, along with continual enhancements with technology such as mobile applications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

International Operations Team Lead- Houston, TX

The International Operations Team Lead’s primary responsibility is to lead the international department to meet or exceed the expectations of our clients, each and every time we are of service to them, by responding quickly and proactively to challenges and facilitating a quick and positive solution to their international airfreight and ocean freight needs. 

Position Overview and Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing, scheduling, and routing shipments for air and ocean import/export.
  • Maintaining accurate status updates for import/export shipments.
  • Ensuring regulatory and country level compliance.
  • Responding to inquiries from overseas agents/offices in a timely fashion.
  • Interacting with customers and their key personnel as needed.
  • Maintaining and growing relationships on Team’s behalf with both existing and new customers and carriers.
  • Handling and quickly resolve any issues with customers, Team branches, and agents.
  • Communicating daily with customers to keep them informed of changes pertaining to their shipments, should an update apply or be required.
  • Lead and mentor international team at IAH office.
  • Ensure that the international department maintains all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in conjunction with international customer service and sales teams.
  • Demonstrate in-depth industry knowledge with the ability to identify, anticipate, understand and respond to client needs promptly.
  • Negotiate aggressive rates with all service providers.
  • Supervise international team by providing performance appraisals, training and coaching as needed.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Branch Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in international air and ocean freight forwarding operations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Creative problem solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of ocean and air freight movement including pricing, documentation and shipment management.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable state, federal and international laws and regulations (Federal Maritime Commissions, Interstate Commerce Commission, Customs, environmental, import/export, maritime).
